Kevin D. Ferrell owned and operated a multimillion-dollar, Medicare-certified home health agency group and a network of walk-in medical clinics. He previously worked as a scholarship-winning, board-certified psychiatric nurse, supervising high-acuity adult and pediatric units.
His experience in behavioral health ultimately inverted. After years of directing care, he returned to the same system from the other side, shaped by addiction, loss of control, and institutional intervention. That reversal informs the memoir’s analytical, self-auditing lens, grounded in clinical training and lived exposure to the limits of treatment, compliance, and authority.
Ferrell has held an FBI Level II security clearance and now works as an author and production consultant. He lives along Florida’s Suncoast and has two children in Palm Harbor.
